Q-Warping: Direct Computation of Quadratic Reference Surfaces

چکیده
We consider the problem of wrapping around an object, of which two views are available, a reference surface and recovering the resulting parametric ow using direct computations (via spatio-temporal derivatives). The well known examples are a ne ow models and 8-parameter ow models | both describing a ow eld of a planar reference surface. We extend those classic ow models to deal with a Quadric reference surface and work out the explicit parametric form of the ow eld. As a result we derive a simple warping algorithm that maps between two views and leaves a residual ow proportional to the 3D deviation of the surface from a virtual quadric surface. The applications include image morphing, model building, image stabilization, and disparate view correspondence.

The hyperbolic class of quadratic time-frequency representations. I. Constant-Q warping, the hyperbolic paradigm, properties, and members
The time-frequency (TF) version of the wavelet transform and the “affine” quadraticlbilinear TF representations can be used for a TF analysis with constant-Q characteristic. This paper considers a new approach to constant-Q TF analysis. A specific TF warping transform is applied to Cohen’s class of quadratic TF representations, which results in a new class of quadratic TF representations with c...
متن کاملOn the real quadratic fields with certain continued fraction expansions and fundamental units
The purpose of this paper is to investigate the real quadratic number fields $Q(sqrt{d})$ which contain the specific form of the continued fractions expansions of integral basis element where $dequiv 2,3( mod 4)$ is a square free positive integer. Besides, the present paper deals with determining the fundamental unit$$epsilon _{d}=left(t_d+u_dsqrt{d}right) 2left.right > 1$$and $n_d$ and $m_d...
متن کاملGeneralized Warping In Flexural-Torsional Buckling Analysis of Composite Beams
The finite element method is employed for the flexural-torsional linear buckling analysis of beams of arbitrarily shaped composite cross-section taking into account generalized warping (shear lag effects due to both flexure and torsion). The contacting materials, that constitute the composite cross section, may include a finite number of holes. A compressive axial load is applied to the beam. The...
متن کاملFaster retrieval with a two-pass dynamic-time-warping lower bound
The Dynamic Time Warping (DTW) is a popular similarity measure between time series. The DTW fails to satisfy the triangle inequality and its computation requires quadratic time. Hence, to find closest neighbors quickly, we use bounding techniques. We can avoid most DTW computations with an inexpensive lower bound (LB Keogh). We compare LB Keogh with a tighter lower bound (LB Improved). We find ...
متن کاملLocal bases for quadratic deficient spline spaces on criss-cross triangulations
In many practical applications, piecewise polynomial surfaces need to be connected by using different smoothness degrees and, in the literature, tensor product spline surfaces of such a kind have been widely investigated. Several problems can arise with tensor product surfaces, for example this choice may cause oscillations far from the shape to be built. Therefore, in some cases spline surface...
